Who are we?
Trailblazers is a welcoming homeschool enrichment community in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. Meeting Thursdays throughout the school year, our semester-long program gives kids the opportunity to explore new interests, dive into meaningful projects, build lasting friendships, and grow together.
Inspired by the people, places, and natural wonders of Northern Arizona, our experienced educators create hands-on learning experiences in science, literature, writing, and art. Through creative projects, collaboration, and connections with local experts, we encourage kids to ask questions, think independently, and discover what they're capable of, all while being part of a community where they belong.
Learn by Doing
From designing science experiments and tackling engineering challenges to writing original stories and creating art, our students learn by getting involved. They ask questions, test ideas, solve problems, and work together while building confidence and developing skills through meaningful experiences.
Our Academic Approach
Our classes combine academic exploration with creativity and hands-on learning. Science encourages investigation, experimentation, and problem-solving, while literature and creative writing develop communication, critical thinking, and a love of storytelling. Art gives students the freedom to explore different materials, techniques, and forms of self-expression. Each semester culminates in a Celebration of Learning, where students share their projects, discoveries, and accomplishments with family and friends.
A Community That Grows Together
At Trailblazers, friendships and a sense of belonging are just as important as academics. Through shared projects, outdoor play, and time spent together, students build meaningful connections across ages and interests. Our welcoming community extends beyond the classroom through family gatherings, local field trips, and opportunities to explore Flagstaff together. We're creating a place where kids feel comfortable being themselves, families connect, and everyone has room to grow.
